Instructions for Setting Up the Alerts Reader EA
To install the EA and DLL file, follow the standard procedure for installing a typical EA in MT4. Ensure you check the “Allow DLL Imports” option in the EA properties window when attaching it to a chart. Your download will include two files—one for the Experts folder and one for the Libraries folder in your MT4 Data Folder, accessible from the Files menu in MT4.
Once attached, the EA will automatically copy the latest alert to the clipboard. There are two crucial input variables:

‘Allow Monitor On’: This option enables you to receive alerts from all running MT4 platforms without installing the EA on multiple platforms. If you choose the “All running MT4s” option, the EA will capture alerts from all open MT4 instances.

‘Display Alert On’: This setting lets you choose whether to display the last received alert as a comment or log.
To hear the alerts audibly, you’ll need a Text-To-Speech reader, which you can either purchase or obtain for free. Configure the reader to “Watch Clipboard” if that option is available, allowing it to read the alerts aloud to you.
